Rpst from BHB: What should we do for bday/anniversary?

Hi girls, just wanted to get your opinion on what we should do:

My 30th Birthday is this coming Sunday 12/13. It is also FH and Mine's 12 year anniversary. We are trying to save for the wedding so we are going to keep things rather low-key. We have a scheduled bday dinner with my friends next week to celebrate but what can we do just us. I have a few ideas. What do u think????

1- Just do dinner and movie (thinking Baci maybe....mmmmm)

2- Wanted to go to the Melting Pot for dessert (dinner too expensive) but if we go to Baci its completely on other side of town

3- We could go to the city and check our wedding rings out, they are done being made but we aren't going to pick them up til the Spring. If we did this we would probably have to leave more money down too. Hate to travel into the city b/c its such a day long experience and expensive but I really don't want to wait til January to go.

4- We also have Westbury Manor gift certificate and would love to go there b/c that's where our wedding will be but we told our MOH (my sis) and Best Man(his bro) that we would take them and their husband/girlfriend (who is another bridesmaid of mine) with us when we went. I think it would just be romantic to be there on another special date of ours but i feel bad going without them.

What should we do? We don't live together so I would like to spend as much time as possible with him but still be reasonable. Help please!!!! Any other suggestions would be great. Preferably staying in Nassau or borderline Suffolk, Thanks girls!!!!!

30th Bday and 12 year anniversary is a big deal! Personally - I would splurge! But since you are probably more responsible than me (most people are lol) then i think that you should go to westbury manor! It will be really romantic to eat at the place where you and FH are getting married! Im sure your MOH and BM would understand.

If you dont wanna go to westbury without them then consider a romantic dinner at home. Romantic dinners at home are under rated! Some of the most romantic evenings FH and I have had were during dinners at home with a nice bottle of wine and a nice dessert.

No matter what you do have a wonderful time! Happy Birthday and Congrats!

Thank u so much! I would really loved to go out all dressed up and stuff but I do feel guilty about going without BP. I can't wait til we have our own place b/c all we want to do is have a nice quiet dinner at home and lay on the couch together... keep u posted ...

you can check out some travel sites for a discounted last minute hotel room. some times its nice just to have a little mini vacation. if the budget is tight, you can pick up chinese food and bring it to the room and have a little picnic on the bed
