RSVP

So, my RSVP date is Dec. 1st. What are the odds that I'll receive the outstanding 55!!!!!!! responses in the next 3 days?

If you are waiting for responses, what is the appropriate amount of time to give people before you start making phone calls?

Or, would you not make phone calls, and say if they're too rude to put an envelope in the mail, then the hell with them?

Boo!! I'm supposed to be happy, not irritated! Thanks for the rant, girls.

I think you can call a week after the RSVP date. Give them a week buffer just in case they sent it out on or around Dec 1st.

Sounds good to me. Wow 55! how rude...what is so hard about putting a check next to 'accept' or 'decline' and placing it in a mail box.GRRRR

Re: RSVP

Honestly- if some of the people are close relatives or close friends- Id call em NOW! Who cares?! They probably either forgot or thought that you would KNOW they would be there... Its a typical assumption of guests...

Otherwise.. if theyre not so close and you dont feel too comfortable calling and asking- wait about a week or so to ask.

That definatly is a pain in the @ss!!!!!

I agree with the above, closer family may think you KNOW they are going to be there

Re: RSVP

Thanks. I needed a few words of sanity! I am a super-planner, so this is about enough to put me over the edge! I'll live though. A few are close relatives, and many are relatives our moms just 'needed' to invite, random cousins and such. Now, looks like we'll have to try to work with the hall b/c I think we'll be short on the minimum. We went according to the number we were inviting, 260, so we thought for sure we'd get 200. Not so much, looking like 175 tops. Not a thing I can do about it, so no sense in freaking out, it's just so aggravating! Thanks for letting me blow off steam, I know it's not the worst thing in the world.

I would start making phone calls a few weeks before you have to give your hall your final headcount.

i would call them now too, just say your rsvp date is in 3 days and you haven't heard from them and you were wondering if they decided if they wer going to come.
