I'm sending out our invitations the last week of June, and giving about a month to respond, with an RSVP of 8/1 for our 9/6 wedding.

Is 6/22 too early?

Yes, I would say 4-6 weeks prior.
Mine are 4 weeks prior, gives me a week to track down people who didn't RSVP, 1 week to do seating chart and 10 days to do escort cards.

Did you mean 8/22? If it's 6/22 that's sending out the invites 4 months in advance, giving them one month to respond (less with mailing times if you're only sending one month in advance) and the RSVP date 2.5 months before the wedding. I would think that's too early.

If you want a really early RSVP date then do 7/22 maybe?

I'm having a really early RSVP date because I have a B list so the first wave is going out in early July with an early August RSVP date for my 9/20 wedding. I'll still have 6 weeks before the wedding to send out the B lists, and their RSVP date is for early September. My venue needs to know the count 2 weeks before, so I used that date and worked back from there.

Our invites will be going out July 1, RSVP is August 16 and the wedding is Sept 27. Gives 6 weeks to RSVP and 5 weeks to track down stragglers.
