RSVP blues...

well i haven't gotten an RSVP since saturday. we sent the invites out `a month ago and the deadline is in a week and only 70 ppl RSVP'd yes. we've invited over 200 people!!!!!!!!!!!

is this normal??

So sorry, Jess. MAybe you will get a slew of them this weekend!!! Also, I hear a lot of girls say a bunch roll in the week after the date!! Give it a week and see what happens.

Put it this way, my wedding is in less then 2 weeks, and some people never bothered to send, it, so I am not going to bother to give them a seat, so they better not show up!

OMG!!! you already have 118 that said yes?!?! holy crap!!! that is so not fair!! your wedding is like a montha fter mine. when did you send out invites??

Jess, I feel your pain. I am still missing a couple of Rsvps and am 3.5 weeks away from my wedding Don't worry they will send them in probable the week they are due and after the due date. I was stress out about rsvps also, but you will get alot the week after they are due. I had my mom call family and had FH call his friends.

Sorry they aren't coming in faster. If it helps you feel better I am starting to feel the same way.

We sent out our invites about 3 Weeks ago and we just started getting some no's. I was just freaking out that no one is going to come and we are not going to meet our minimum and we will have to pay $1,000s for empty seats.

What can we do now? :)

i feel the same way! i'm only up to like 92 yes, sent out invites for 216 and my RSVP is Aug 5!! I'm missing over 40 RSVPS! COME ON PEOPLE! IT'S NOT THAT HARD!

I've even started leaving up messages on AIM and myspace saying 'hello, please RSVP. thank you'

mine is happening the same way ~ in the beginning we got tons and we have invited 200 people and we only have rsvps for 87 (aug 1 is our deadline...)

I just hope you called them - b/c I had major post office problems. At least 2 invites never arrived and weren't sent back to me and at least 2 RSVPs weren't received -- and I do know that they were mailed. (Some people lie, but these were actually mailed)

It's worth calling just to make sure.

I think everyone goes thru it im depressed too because 28 people only responded so far and i havent gotten any in days...fh's family is ignorant and i have a feeling some might not send it......our minimum is 110...dunno what we'll do if we dont reach it....i just keep thinking if they dont send it within a couple weeks, they're not going to come

Yes. This is normal. My RSVP was Friday, and I am still missing 40 of them!

I'm getting the same thing. My RSVP is a week away and I only got 130 responses out of 250!!!!! where the heck are the rest of my guests!

I already told DH about his peeps...and I then I'll tell my MIL about hers....and I'll call whomever of mine... HUNT THESE PEOPLE DOWN!

I had a lot of people I had to chase down. I divided the guest list up by my mom, MIL, dad, etc. I had it ready for when the RSVP date came & went. I gave each of them the names of those who we hadn't heard from and made them get on the phone w/ their invited guests. That helped a lot. HTH
