The girl that's doing my invitations said that when she sent hers out, she put a stamp on the back of the RSVP card, along with a stamp of the address to send it back to, and made it a postcard to send back to her for responses.
Now, I thought that idea was very cool, especially since it will keep the pocketfold look of the inserts nice, without an envelope getting in the way. My mom thinks it will look cheap and weird to my guests, who have probably never received a postcard rsvp card before.
we're doing post card RSVP cards. I think they're popular now.

I have to say, that I agree with your Mom Another thing to consider, is that there is a very good chance that some will get lost in the mail because they are so small

Re: What do you think of this?
Okay... so one point for my mom, one point for me.
I think the way she would put them, the RSVP card would be fairly large.
So, if I were to put an envelope, how does that fit into the pocketfold style? The length of the invitation is 7', so the inserts would be 7', too. How would I get or include a 7' envelope?

Most RSVP cards are tiny anyway so wouldn't they also get lost in the mail?

Re: RSVP Cards... What do you think of this?
I think postcards are fine. A lot of the big invite companies now let you choose if you want the standard rsvp card with envelope or postcard so I think it's gaining popularity. They are also the same size as a standard rsvp card so I don't think you have to worry about size.
I'll probably be making my pocketfolds, and will probably use the standard cards. I personally think it's a little more formal, but am not opposed to the postcards at all!

we just got invited to a wedding with pocketfold invites and they used a post card reply card. I didn't think it was weird at all

Re: RSVP Cards... What do you think of this?
Oh yeah? Was it a standard sized postcard, or whatever insert fit in the invitation?
Also, do post offices mail anything with a stamp and address on them, or is there a standard size that is needed for a postcard?

i think they're cute....i've never received a pocketfold invite EVER but i think the postcard idea is cute...i think a post card has to be a certain size minimum...just check with the post office though to be sure.

okay... thank you! I just don't want it to be too LONG (7'), without having the appropriate height to mail. I'll call them and ask.
