What is the standard RSVP date for the invites? A month before the wedding? Two weeks before?

No less than 4, no more than 6...not enough time drives you crazy, too much time and people will forget. Give yourself enough time in case you need to call people to find out if they are attending and so you can give your RH a final head count, and do your seating arrangement.
I would do at least 4 weeks, if not 6. You will be surprised at how many people do not respond by your RSVP date. It is 3 weeks after ours and we still have people outstanding that we had to call.
I did 6 and worried it was to early.. but then thought about it and 6 weeks is good it case any come back in the mail or I have to chase people for responses I have time
im doing 4....but i may change it too 5 or 6 weeks b4...im hearing alot of horror stories!!
I may have an A and B list, so the A list will be 6 weeks, and the B list will be 2-4 weeks depending on whether I can actually send them out or not.
