We did 6 weeks since we have a ton of OOT guests and since we are OOT as well. We didn't want RSVPs turning up at our doorstep when we've already left for NY. We're mailing invites on April 4th, the RSVP is May 4th and the wedding is June 15.

I'm thinking 5 -6 weeks before the wedding date so we have time to call those who didn't RSVP in time and invite the B list people if we need to.

We did ours on month before the wedding and giving them about 4 to 5 weeks to respond.

Mine is a month before because our final payment isn't due until 8 days before the wedding so we will still have three weeks to get in touch w/ppl. that didn't RSVP.
