RSVP Date

Does anyone know what the amount of time before the wedding the RSVP date should be? Is eight weeks too much?

I think 8 weeks is too much. I think it's closer to 3 or 4. But then again, I haven't even gotten my invites yet, so...

Mine is between 4-5 weeks before.
RSVP date is April 7th, wedding date is May 12th

I did 3 weeks...I'm a little nervous it isn't long enough, I would do 4 if I had to do it over again.

I'm being told 6 wekks is prob the maximum, but I have a B-list so I might do 6-7 weeks. Also I am sending them out 3 months before. But this is just me.

Also keep in mind you will have to collect and call all those people who haven't RSVP'd so you can give your hall notice. So if you have any doubts, just take recp hall date and add 2-3 weeks so you can call paople.

From my mom this is what I heard

For example, my wedding is July 7th so the invites should go out by May 7th and the RSVP is June 7th

From what I've seen it's a minimum of 4 weeks and a maximum of 6, depending on the amount of guests you are inviting. The more guests you invite the more time you want to give yourself to prepare. We are doing six weeks bc we are inviting a little over 300 people. May 5th wedding and the RSVP date is March 23rd.

i think a perfect rsvp date is a month b4. this way u have time to call peopke who have not answered and then have time to do tables and such

Usually they sat AT LEAST 6 weeks before...Ours were sent out about 5 weeks before

3 - 4 weeks is ample time. I would recommend keeping tabs of the RSVP responses as they come in so it's not overewhelming at the end. I input the responses every night after I came home from work. This past weekend I called the few procrastinators I had and I'm pretty much done.
