RSVP date/mailing invite question..

I recently ordered my invitations and was wondering how the dates I plan to do sound.

-Mail them (so guest receive them) 1st or 2nd week in Sept ?
-RSVP by Oct 9
-Wedding day 11/27/04 (Thanksgiving weekend)

Please tell me what you ladies think. TIA!

The average is usually giving your guests 6-8 weeks from your RSVP date to RSVP, so you are giving them about 4 weeks but other than that, those dates sound good.

I changed my date so that peopl will receive them 4 or 5 weeks before..that is what I meant to say...

I think your schedule sounds about right.
