Not that I'm even close to doing this yet but I'm curious, how do plan on/did you work your RSVP dates? One month before the actual final count was due at the reception site? Two weeks after you put the invite in the mail? Is there a rule of thumb I should know?

Re: RSVP dating question...
I will prob base it on whenever the count is due at the reception place. Maybe make it a week before that is due - so we have time to call stragglers!

I just did 1 month before the wedding - that was what the Lion in the Sun suggested when I was getting ready to order.

Re: RSVP dating question...
My date is about 3 weeks before the wedding.. My wedding date is the 20th of February and my rsvp date is jan 26. My final count and payment has to be in the reception hall 10 days prior.

Re: RSVP dating question...
I have my RSVP date for a month and half before the wedding. I did it like this because I know I won't get them all back before the deadline, so I left myself some extra time. We sent the invites out November 20th, RSVP date of December 27th and wedding is February 7th.

Re: RSVP dating question...
I did it 6 weeks before the wedding, but I had 3 holidays in between sending the invites and the wedding, so I wanted extra time to be sure.
Just as an aside......my response date was November 21st, and I still have 10% of my invites that have not yet responded.

Re: RSVP dating question...
We did 6 weeks before, in case we get lots of no responses, we might send out extra invites, and still have plenty of time. I hope that doesn't sound too cheesy.
