I'm having so much RSVP drama. People are adding on guests that weren't invited, mostly kids. Has anyone else dealt with this? It's all FH's family so his mom has to deal with it because I never met most of them. I'm hoping she is aggressive enough to make it known that they can't come. I can't believe people would just add guests on that aren't invited. The worst one yet was an invitation for a couple and they rsvp'd for 8 people!
8 people!!!! That's insane! People are so rude it's ridiculous. I'm very nervous about this too. I just found out that FH's cousin in Colombia just had a baby and she's planning on coming with her baby. I don't want kids at the wedding other than our FG and RB and kids of people in the bridal party (most don't want to bring them anyway lol). Hopefully his mom will handle this but since the cousin is coming from out of the country I don't think I'll have a choice ... Good luck.
FH and I are afraid that this too will happen to us. We just designed our invitations and I specified Adult reception... Maybe people will get the hint. Also, once we got engaged and started planning the wedding we had close family members spread the word that it will be mainly adults, except for our nieces and nephews.
I don't think it really registers with some people how expensive a wedding can be...especially a NY wedding.

EIGHT people???? Geez. People are nuts! I would most certainly address that... you don't need to be stressing on your day! Hope it all works out!!!
Yeah it's pretty unbelievable. They were other relatives that weren't invited because they are his moms cousins kids. Right now I'm asking his mom to deal with it because I don't even know them.
