RSVP drama already.

The invites went out this week and today we got our first 3 rsvp's back. Tessa did the most amazing job with our response cards to avoid people adding anyone she had the guest names printed on the cards. Well I guess that doesn't work either.
As you can clearly see in the picture it said 'A seat'.
I would like to add that our invites have been the talk of the town at work, and the invites even came up at a meeting.

Also, I wonder if the response had said 'I will be able to attend', if she would have just shown up the day of with her date? I think some people just don't understand etiquette or how invites work.

OH God! Hey at least you tried. Maybe on my invites I will just bluntly put it like this:

Aunt Mary and Uncle Bob, your response is due by June 3, 2009. If I do not hear from you by then, I assume you are not coming. Also, this invite, as indicated on the outside envelope says Mr. & Mrs. Bob Smith. Notice I did not include your children, so please do not bring them. If you both can come, please indicate below the number '2', if only one of you can come, please indicate the number '1'

People are crazy. However, I am glad that your invites are liked by many! That must feel so good to get many compliments.

Trust me you will get people thinking they do not have to send back the RSVP's cause they are the groom's sister (MRS PRINCESS), in the bridal party, or something along those lines. The other thing you will get is people saying this whole time they are coming but then send back the RSVP saying they are not able to come. The other thing you may get which we did this lady that works with my fh(who he also dated) was invited and she was allowed to bring a date she asked instead of bringing a date can she bring her 6 year old son or her 17 year old daughter I was so in shock I said to fh that is fine with me. I was pissed. You have no idea how messed up or rude people can be. I hate it. Weddings really do bring out the worst in people and I wish I never had to invite some of these people to my wedding but I had to. It so messed up what people do and how they act.
