RSVP Help!!!

Hi, this is my first post. The Response date for our rsvp's came and went on Aug. 4th. There's two problems. One, most of my family hasn't replied, which is driving my FW nuts. Second, the few that have replied indicated in each of their invitations that they're bringing anywhere from 3-5 additional people with them, when the invitations clearly stated ' and guest ' or did include the actual names of those invited. My questions are: 1) Who should call those who haven't rsvp'd and 2) How do I go about telling people that the invitations were only being extended to those listed in the invitation... Just to clarify, the additional guests aren't their children, but their friends and other family members that I couldn't invite due to budgetary reasons as well as the size of room at the reception hall.

Re: RSVP Help!!!

Hi, if the people havent RSVP'd maybe its not because their not coming, perhaps they assume that you guys know they Are coming, i would just call all the people and politely ask them that if theyre attending the wedding or not, because the reception hall needs to know..blah blah...your or your fiance could do that.

As far as other guests coming that arent invited, you can just suck it up and let them come
or let them know, due to monetary reasons and the desire for an intimate ceremony, its only Mr & Mrs with regrets....

hope all goes welll! alot of couples have these issues , ur not alone

Re: RSVP Help!!!

Thanks for the replies... Just a small update. Just found out, now I'm told that those relatives aren't attending afterall, because it costs too much for airfare, and they don't want to drive from Georgia to come.. Yay!!!!! Still waiting for a couple of rsvp's but it's no big deal. Take Care.
