OK, so my RSVP date is a little over 2 weeks away and I am still waiting for 76 responses. I was just on the phone with one of my friends and he was with another friend who is also invited to the wedding. I asked if each of them sent their responses in yet. Friend # 1 said I will mail it on Monday and Friend # 2 said 'I'm coming.Your response date is Sept. 15, if you wanted them sooner, you should have said that you wanted them by Sept. 1'. WHAT????? Why can't people just put the RSVP's in the mail when they get the invite????

I went through the same thing, sometimes people just don't use the brains that they were born with. I sent Email reminders out to all of those who did not respond. It was like pulling teeth. Thank God that our RH gave us more time for all of the RSVP's to come in.

HAHA my FMIL said the same thing to me when i was complainin about her fam...ours is less than two weeks away and were missing 90..dont feel bad

I hear ya girl!!! We are having the same problem with FAMILY... they feel that they don't have to mail them in - cuz it's a known fact that they're coming... not really, with all their drama about the wedding, but that's another story... OR, they said that they would mail it in when they get to it - WHAT!! GET TO IT!!! what is there to get to - we all put a stamp on the d@mn response for goodness sake! i guess it's too hard for them to just put a CHECK in the box and then write their name... No worries - you'll get your response cards - and if you don't pick up the phone and unleash H E L L on them... it'll probably make you feel better after all the unwanted stress... Hang in there!

we're about a week away, and we're stilling missing about half. I wouldn't worry about it, they'll come. people get forgetful.

you have PLENTY of time! don't start worrying yet.
we had over 100 RSVPs missing a week before our due date... a few came that week, a TON came on the actual due date, and all of the rest (except like 1o) came the week after the due date.

I have to confess... I have an rsvp sittin in my house thats like a week overdue... It was due while i was on vacation and i jus forgot about it... It happens... but waiting on 70 something responses is just crazzzy

Our date was yesterday & I'm still missin 18 (& that's I filled in for all of the verbal responses given to FH & his parents & my parents).

We are still waiting for RSVP's also. When I get a invitation I am the 1st one to RSVP. Why can't everyone be like that.

after readiing several posts like this more often than not....I have changed my ways! I used to be the one to RSVP the last possible day....sometimes even get a phone call from the bride ready to kill me......I AM SORRY....never to be mean like that again!!! I RSVP to weddings early now.....

My response date has come and gone on Aug. 24th and I am still waiting for approximately 30 RSVP's.
I don't get how people cannot respond during the time frame. Nonetheless they don't even have to put a freakin stamp on the envelope b/c that is already done. It's really aggravating. I guess if we don't get any by tomorrow we will have to start making phone calls!

I went through the same thing - the majority of RSVP's came in the last week of the rsvp date, and some trickled in the week after. Some people of course, didn't rsvp at all, but verbally told us, which I think is tacky because why did I spend all that money on postage (personalized zazzle.com postage too) for people not to send it back! Most of the people got save the dates so they had months to decide if they were coming. What can I say, people just s**k!
