RSVP Percentage

RSVP Percentage

So I have to guarantee 150 people at our hall and we would like to have as close as possible to that number attending the wedding. We have created a list of invites and we have about 220. What do you think the final guest could be if we are inviting 220? If I have to I will try to cut the list down. But then again I don't want to cut myself short. HELP!!!

According to my calculations using the 20-25% rule of thumb, your final count should fall between the 165-176 range.

Can someone explain this 20-25% rule? I'm totally lost...should you invite 20% more ppl than your total? Or should you expect 20% less ppl than your total? Thanks!

We invited 220 & believe we will be very close to the 180 mark.

one of my best friends invited 280 and 220 came...that happens to be my exact number now too...my invited is at about 285 right now...i will be mailing out in beginning of december but my minimum is 200...
