how many weeks before the wedding should all r.s.v.p's be in

Traditon is 4. Mine will be 5.
Take into consideration when yu hall neds a head count. Mine is 10 days before, but I chose 5 weeks, to give myself time to track down delinquents.

We did 5 weeks. But no matter how long you give people some people just won't RSVP on time

I allowed for 4 weeks. I should have made it 6. The RSVP date is in 8 days and I still have not heard from 140 people. So, now I am unable to proceed with A LOT of the planning process because I don't know who is coming. And, it's so close to the wedding now...

I should have given myself more time to track people down...
