Our e-party is on June 12th. The RSVP date was the 24th. My mother and I were all over ordering food and the cake, buying decorations, etc yesterday. Now, TODAY, a relative decided to RSVP and supposedly all of his kids are coming (they weren’t on the invitation) WITH DATES (really not on the invite!) So now I have ten more people coming and I need to order more food and change my cake order. What is wrong with people? I really hope this is not a sign of things to come.
Ok, I'm done. Thanks for listening!

Re: RSVP rant
Can you tell them its too late? or only those invited are allowed to come??? That's not fair to you or your family who's taking time to help you out. Ridiculous!!!

Re: RSVP rant
It is just so rude. On one hand, I'm glad they called because at least I'll be prepared. I hope your family is more considerate!

Re: RSVP rant
you cant tell them its too late bc it is family.....but also since it is family you could go to them and at least say you know u missed the rsvp date.....that is ballsy tho to bring the kids WITH DATES. They better give u a nice gift....haha

Re: RSVP rant
Ugh, that is annoying. On the bright side though, I know I would rather have people RSVP to attend late, rather than at the last minute cancel or not show up.

Re: RSVP rant
I'd definitely just find a nice way to say something the day of ONLY BECAUSE you dont want this to happen to you on your wedding date....you never know if they would do this to you then too!

Re: RSVP rant
I'm sorry but you need to nip this in the bud right now. If you feel obligated to keep them then you will prob have to up your food, but don't bother with the cake. It will be an unnecessary expense and no one will notice.

Re: RSVP rant
That's pretty ballsy.
My RSVP date for my e-party was today and I still have not heard from one good friend of mine, who I have contacted three times already!! ***?! A little immatureeeeee. Like, will I have to chase this person down for the wedding??!!

Agreed. Try to maybe joke with them....like, 'maybe you should turn in your RSVP for the wedding now so you don't forget!' Hopefully they have a sense of humor!!

Re: RSVP rant
family or not, I would be on the phone with them, saying that not only did it **** that they rsvp'd late, but I would sure let them know that their kids are not allowed to bring a date. You are a nicer person than me for accomodating them. I have no patience for that crap!
