RSVP Reponses

RSVP Reponses

I am preparing to send my invitations out and I noticed I forgot to include a line on the RSVP cards.

Currently they say:
We have reserved ___ seat(s) in your honor.
____Accept with pleasure
____Decline with regret

I forgot to include the line to indicate how many seats they are reserving. For example if I invite someone with a guest I am reserving 2 seats, but if they decide to come alone I need them to indicate 1 seat instead of 2.

I am thinking of adding a label to the RSVP card stating 'Please indicate the number of seats you are reserving next to your name.
ie The Smith Family
# of seats reserved – 5
RSVP response – The Smith Family 2).'

Does this make sense?? I am just afraid of people adding onto their reserved seat.

When we got our responses, a lot of people would write in the name(s) with a check and some even put a number. For example,

'2 accepts'
or
'1 accepts, 1 declines'

Personally I think you don't need to add anything, you can assume the # of seats reserved is what they mean and I'm sure people will be smart enough to tell you if the # is different.

Or am I giving people too much credit?

I agree, I don't think you need to change anything, but you might be giving them too much credit :P

I would hope that people would be smart enough to do that but you just never know LOL

I made a line that said number attending _______ Maybe you can run them through your printer to add something. I wanted to make mine as 'dummy proof' as possible.
