rsvp timing

how much time before the wedding should you put the rsvp date? i am a june 9, 2012 date.

I am doing 6 weeks because my FHs entire family is late to do everything so I know i will get them by a month if im lucky!

But most girls i think do 4-6 weeks.

I'm June 1, 2012 and I'm thinking April 20, that's 6 weeks. I threw fh a surprise party once and the absolute only person who RSVP'd was his friend Richie who was getting married the following month, other than that not 1 person out of 60 RSVP'd for me.

I did mine a little more than a month before because I knew there would be some people I would have to hunt down for an RSVP. I'm getting married 9/10 and I made the rsvp date 8/1.
