RSVP Vent

RSVP Vent

People just completely stupify me. I come home today from my second fitting and there are 2 responses. 1 is from FH's uncle's family. The second one I have no idea who it is from because where the name should be just says SORRY. What the hell is wrong with people??? I just have a feeling that its from FH's side because they just don't know any better. They don't understand why they have to send the card back. Good g-d its not like they have to pay for a freakin stamp. Its on there! Just write your name and tell me if your coming or not and how many people! What is so hard about that??????

I feel your pain! Some people don't get it and it makes things so difficult. FH's friends/family have NO clue about weddings here as he wasn't born in this country so you can only imagine the things I've gotten. More than likely there will be surprise guests that day because they don't get the whole rsvp concept.

If it makes you feel better, my friend got married in August and in September she received 2 rsvp's from people that came to the wedding. They just now sent it in with a card thanking them for inviting them to the wedding.

FH wasn't born here neither, so this is probably the first American wedding that his family will attend. Oh I'm sure that there will be surprise guests. Maybe I should look into getting a bouncer
I even sent FMIL her list just to make sure that everyone that she wanted to invite was on it because one time when we spoke on the phone, I thought she said she invited someone over the phone and it was someone that I never had an address for. I have a feeling this is going to end up being a 3 ring circus.

Re: RSVP Vent

My RSVP date was October 1, forgetting that it fell on a Sunday. I gave people an extra week to RSVP, before I start busting chops.

Ohhh, good idea, I didn't even think of a bouncer
FH doesn't understand mailing the invitations, where he's from they hand deliver them to everyone and nobody rsvp's the whole town just shows up for the wedding! Meanwhile, I get a response card from someone who I have no idea who they are and aren't on my list. Yeah, he wanted to hand deliver it to him and did without freakin telling me!

Here's the silver lining ...

As long as it was a 'no' response, at least you don't have to have a seat for them!
