Re: RSVP wording

Mine were personalized.

Our logo at the top, then:

'The courtesy of your response is requested prior to the second of September

Mr. John Doe and Guest

Two seats have been reserved for you at our wedding.

Yes, ___ of us will attend

___ Sorry, we cannot attend'

and the numbers and names obviously matched up. For one person it was:

'___Yes, I will attend

___ Sorry, I cannot attend'

Did anyone use
_____ number of guests attending???
Or does this open it up for people to put in whatever they want ?

Re: RSVP wording

Here is the BEST trick that really helped us as we had very traditional blank RSVP cards...'The Favour of a Response is Requested by...'

On the back right hand corner of each blank RSVP card write a small # in pencil....on your finalized guest list have this # corresponded with the correct guest. In case someone sends something blank or screwy you know who it is from....

make sense? It REALLY helped us!

That is exactly what I did.. I tried adding # of guests, but it does leave it open for people to add whatever #, plus I couldnt do it, cause they came from Carlson Craft and they cant custom each card. I'm very happy that I did it the way I did

In a way, I guess mine had that option with the 'yes, ___ of us will attend' We had one person rsvp for 3 when only 2 were invited.... and one rsvped 'ALL' bc she thought we didn't invite her daughter and only her 2 sons (meanwhile the daughter got her own invite).

Other than those two, I didn't have an issue....

we were afraid people wouldn't understand number of guests so we put number of person(s)... and people still got confused...

I actually wish I did something different because there was a bit of confusion on mine:

We Look Forward to Celebrating with You.

______ Will Attend ______ Will Not Attend

___________ Number of Guests
(Adult Reception)

I would change the word guests to attendees.
I had two put down 1 and bring guests (I spoke to them before giving final count) and I had others write 0 but will attend.

I used ___Number of Guests and am having the EXACT same issue!!! It only seems to be an issue for people I invited 'and guest' - so now everyone I invited with a guest who only put 1 in the number area, I am going to have to contact to make sure they are coming alone

'attendees' sounds like a better option
