RSVP wording and dates??

Ladies....I need help with my dates. Let me know if this is OK:

9/27/08 or 10/4/08 - Send out invites - Which ones
11/24/08 or 12/1/08 - RSVP date -which should I do?
12/15/08 - Give RH final count
12/27/08 - wedding day

Plese let me know what you think of my dates.

Now for the wording....right now it's:

THE FAVOR OF A REPLY IS REQUESTED BY THE 1ST OF DECEMBER:

M________________________________

____WILL ATTEND

____UNABLE TO ATTEND

____NUMBER ATTENDING

Is it ok? Seems a bit bland to me?

I found this on verseit.com since our wedding is right after Christmas but before New year's:

Add joy to our season...respond by
DATE
M_____________________
_____ So joyful to attend!
_____ Can't attend, but sending joy your way.

I think you should send them out on 9/27/08

RSVP date should maybe be mid November.

I really like the 'joy' response wording!

Since you're right around holiday time, I'd say send them on your 3 month mark, RSVP on your 1 month mark.

Send out 9/27 and do the 11/24 RSVP..the earlier, the better! Trust me!

I like the joy wording and I think December first is fine for the RSVP date.

Send out 8 weeks in advance, not more.
Get response back 3-4 weeks in advance, not more.
Love the joy wording.

I would send on your 3 month mark, and have the rsvp date one month before. also, i would spell out '1st' and do 'first' instead.

if you want, you could make your rsvp date slightly before the 1 month mark if you think 2 weeks wont be enough time to get a count in
