So invites went out Saturday. Went by my mom's and my brother said he recieved the invite and mailed out the RSVP. I was thrilled. He then tells me that he didn't know what the 'M' before the line was and that he just said he and his wife was comming. I was dying laughing.

You know, I've been thinking that a lot of our guests may not know what it means either!!! My FH and I are the first in our families to have a wedding reception etc.
I was thinking to write 'Name ________________' instead of 'M________________'
I had to put 'Name______' too! My family is mostly from the south and this wedding is really different compared to theirs.
I completely agree - Weddings in NY are very differerent than other part of the country. Our invitations are more formal than in other regions. I never thought about it but the 'M' might be confusing. Something else to think about
