I only got like 3 RSVP's so far that were a no. I was under the assumption that whenever someone said no on a RSVP that they send a check along with it? I'm just asking this because I have not received any checks and all along I thought it was common curtsey. I'm just curious..... LOL.

Re: RSVP's
hey look on BHB board, someone was asking about this today! I think it depends on the person! I did not get checks with the 'no's'

Re: RSVP's
Etiquette dictates that if you are invited to a wedding and decline, you are still supposed to send a gift.
But most people don't have class, tact, or manners, so.....of my 30 nos thus far, I only received one check from one couple I just think people don't know manners from their elbow anymore, so I honestly was not expecting any gifts from no responses, so whatever I do get I'm counting as a bonus.

Re: RSVP's
I've received some gifts from people who RSVPd no. Right now, it's probably running about 50-50.
I have to say though usually if I don't go to a wedding, I don't send a monetary gift. I usually send a gift off the registry. I've gotten some of those too.
I feel like if I get a gift from the no's that's great - if not , that's ok too.

Re: RSVP's
I've gotten some checks with the no responses. Some also sent seperate cards with checks after they sent the response back. Others have told us that they are buying us a gift off the registry since they can't come to the wedding-mostly the out of state people.

Re: RSVP's
I agree that the proper etiquette says that if you decline a wedding invite, you should send a gift. We did receive some, but not a lot...including FH's cousins...! Many ppl just don't follow the proper etiquette any more Like someone else said...consider it a bonus if you do receive any

Re: RSVP's
It is proper etiquette to still send a gift even if you RSVP 'No', but unfortunately most people have good manners. We had the same experience. Sorry!!
