Has anyone else gone through a process of your single friends holding out on sending you an RSVP because they are still looking for a date to bring? two of my single friends said they were waiting on sending the response card back b/c they were looking for someone to bring. Now that my date has passed they both said 'just put me down for 2' but i don't want to risk putting them down for 2 and then them not being able to find someone to bring... has anyone else experienced this?

Re: RSVP's and Single Friends
This is why we didn't invite our single friends with dates. if they are seeing someone, yes totally bring them, but I am not going to cut out other people I would want there b/c they want to bring a random...JMO

i would tell the RH just one for each of them ... you can always add more people to your RH guest count, but you can't remove people from that count.

See this is what i'm afraid of! ughh i was thinking of inviting them w/o a guest but then i felt that would be rude.. thanks ladies. i guess i will just have to put down 2 and see what happens.

Re: RSVP's and Single Friends
tell them you are going to put one because you have to give the RH an accurate number. If you say two you have to pay for 2 even if one comes or just tell the RH one and pay for the extra if they bring a guest

Re: RSVP's and Single Friends
The best way to deal with this is when you give your RH your final number just minus those two possible extra guests. It's easier to add on guests than to pay for guests who don't show.

ITA - same here. The last response I am waiting on is my friggin BM who said that she would know by this week if she is bringing a guest...and my RSVP date was 5/1! Ugh. So, I have counted her for one...because I can always add guests up til 2 days before the wedding...

yes this is happening to me also. Our rsvp date is the 27th so we still have time but a few guys are waiting for that exact reason

Re: RSVP's and Single Friends
Yes, most of the late ones we got were for this reason.... and now apparently someone might change their's and bring a random girl and our date was 5/1 and they have not said anything to us.

This is what I would do - explain the situation to your friends and they should understand that they need to make a decision ASAP.

Uggg, sorry, that's so annoying. We invited everyone with a guest but the majority of ppl that are single are coming alone.
