RSVPs GRRRR UPDATED

RSVPs GRRRR UPDATED

ok well i got my first 2 RSVPs that came back as declines...

so while my mom is thrilled to have the number of possible guests FINALLY drop 4 people, FH is upset because they are people that he has known for YEARS and really thought would be there, his best friend's (BM) mother and brother, and they both declined...

so FH is upset now....

and then i got the 1st 'i wasn't invited with my child but ill RSVP for them anyway' response!

and my mom thought it wouldn't happen....so now i have to make the dreaded phone call!!!!!!!!

Wish me luck! I'm nervous!!

(they are my cousins from FL who i LOVE to death and i'm afraid that when I call them they will say they can't come but i can't give in or ill have 50 kids at my wedding!!)

UPDATE: so i spoke with my cousin who lives here (Not the RSVPer, the one that the RSVPer is styaing with for the wedding) to let him know, and he said that he doesnt know why his brother would think he could bring his son, and that he is going to call him and let him know... so im waiting to hear back about how that went, but the cousin i spoke to is the more touchy one, and since HE said he thinks its OK, i don't anticipate any problems...i just hope it doesnt make them have to change whether or not they come!!!

good luck with your call. this is my fear because I have a couple of people on my list that I didn't invite their children and just curious if they will add them.

and they're staying with his brother who is in my bridal party and has 2 kids....so now it has me worried that my cousin is going to RSVP for his 2 kids as well...........

this was more fun when everyone was responding appropriately!!! LOL

That's why I made sure to tell everyone that there are no kids invited to the wedding way in advance. As soon as I started planning and called everyone for their addresses I let them know right then and there.

yeahh well ive said it so many times, to both sides of the family...that only the FG and RB are invited

and not to mention, i heard from my uncle that these cousins already booked their flights cuz they're coming up for a whole week and staying w/my cousin!!!

how do you book all that already ASSUMING you can bring your kid???

cuz not for nothing, the fact that they booked a flight for him isn't going to change my mind!!! LOL

Re: RSVPs GRRRR

Good luck with the call. We were in the same situation with FH's brothers in FL. However, we decided to let family only - or immediate family only bring their kiddies.

Ugh - what an awful call to have to make! Good luck with it! I'm dreading having to deal with that!

Ugh so annoying. I've had people assume they were invited with a guest when their card never mentioned that!
