RSVP's how long do you wait?

my Response date was wed. i sent everyone their list of who didnt respond. How long do you wait a week before you discount them?

I would definitely call them before assuming anything.

I emailed and then called and the recalled....I still never heard back from three people. I assumed a week before that they weren't coming, well really 2 weeks before when we had to submit the final count.

I could never understand why people don't send RSVP's back - how hard is it to fill in your name, pop it in the envelope, and drop it in the mailbox!!?!?!?!!??!

I agree. Lori, my RSVP was 7/16 (last SAturday). I made phone calls on 7/16 and 7/17 to confirm who was coming and not coming. Anyone who did not get back to me...which everyone did in my case.....but anyone who had not gotten back to me would have been crossed off.

I am no sympathy at this point because people have had more than enough time to respond with a stamped envelope in thier possession.

My head count and seating chart is due on 8/13. So I need to time to get that together.

I have called who I have to call and gave lists to my mom, and his mom, got a few answers, I will give it a at least sometime this week, everything is duwe 8/13 so i should be okay, just wanted to get a general consensesus

i waited until a week after my RSVP date to start making calls, and in that i week, we received a majority of the responses. I think most people see the date, and then 'remember' to mail it out on that date.

My response date was july 11th and I am STILL waiting for about 18 AND I have asked certain people to send it several times and still did not get them. Than they say 'OH, I didn't think you needed that card, you know I'm coming'!!! If I didn't need the cards back, why would there be response cards with a stamp. Is it that hard? write your name,check a box and put it in the mail!!! This is driving me crazy
