How come when people respond no, they don't even write a little not explaining why they aren't coming? They just check off the little line and thats it. I feel bad because most of FH's family has been responding no, and they don't even write anything. Look, I don't need a story, but a 'a sorry we can't make it' would be nice.

Re: rsvp's-rant
I'm sorry I wish people would write something too...it seems like the polite thing to do!

Maybe they will send you a nice card with a wedding gift expressing how sorry they are that they cant make it.

I know....the 'no' alone just seems so harsh

Re: rsvp's-rant
ehhh...I never write a note as to why I'm not going, but if I have a relationship w/the guest, I usually tell them why in person, but never think to write it on the RSVP...

Re: rsvp's-rant
I felt the same way-I was very hurt by that especially when it was close family or someone who I never thought wouldn't come, Sorry.
After awhile I just tried to focus on all the people who were coming or who put cute little comments about how they couldn't wait, etc. Try not to take it to heart.

Just saying No usually is harsh. Maybe they will call and give an explanation. We had several people do that. Sorry.
