i invited over 200 ppl to the wedding and almost 100 ppl aren't coming!!!
well at least cheaper for me and FH!!!
did this happen to anyone else? i would've never thought. had i known, i wouldn't have cut my list so much in the beginning!

we invited around 216 and we've only got 130 coming right now. we're still missing some RSVPs, but at this moment, we're 20 people below our minimum. I BEGGED my folks not to cut the list because i knew this would happen, but oh well.
a friend of mine invited 250 and had only 123!!! the whole thing about 'expect at least 20% to say no' should really be closer to 50% I think!

ohlordy, you ladies are scaring me! We're inviting 165 and our minimum is 100! We're afraid we either won't make our minimum or we'll actually have almost everyone say yes (doubtful though).

I invited 250 and i have 221 coming , I had to gurantee 200 so that worked out well.... but since then it's about 2weeks to my wedding and we have gotten last min cancellations! Look out for that... but I think less is more!

I've only gotten 10 no's so far and we invited almost 350. I'm really hoping to end up with 275 but the way its looking that might not be possible.

The same thing happened to us. We invited 300 and 200 came. I'm just happy we made our minimum. And to think we held out on inviting other peope because we thought there would be no room!

i wish i had that problem! we only have like a 15% No rate but we are also still missing 85 responses. can you invite coworkers?? there are SO many people from work i wanted to invite but couldnt so now that i am sure the room wont be overflowing, i am giving them invites now. they all understand, esp cause some of them are planning their own weddings right now!

That is 72 No's. Luckily minimum is 165!

yea, ya know what, we cut a few off our list too, and ended up inviting them later on verbally... we KNEW that ALOT wouldnt come because of age & location... lots invited were like 80 years old+ and/or lived out of state or out of the country. Our invites were about 252 and we actually had 178 attend. but you NEVER KNOW! It's a 50/50 chance...
dont feel bad sending out a 'B' list if you must!

same thing happened to us, we invited 270 and only 184 came....we had 5 no-shows and a few last minute cancellations but it worked out really well, I was glad there weren't 270 there, I have no idea how I would have said hello to all of those people....I totally know how you feel, after a few weeks of RSVP's mostly no's I was like sheesh does anyone want to come to our wedding???????

Yup, that happened to us too. I couldn't believe it! We invited around 280, and we got 100 no's!

same thing happened to us. we invited about 200 we had 119 adults and 21 under 21. fh and i argued with each other and our parents about cutting the lists back. it worked out for us. it was a good amount of people. it was less we had to pay for too

You're in better shape than us, we invited 171 with a minimum of 150. I'd rather pay for 150 and have 135 than have to pay for 160 though.
