Do you find it rude to inquire if someone is coming to your wedding or not, before the actual due date? I am sooooo frustrated with not receiving response cards!!!

Re: Rude?
when's your RSVP date? Based on your wedding date it's probably the end of next month.
I don't think it's rude to ask but it might put them on the spot a little. It's possible they haven't decided yet or haven't been able to make sure they can take off work then or whatever.
Once the RSVP date passes then all bets are off.

Re: Rude?
honestly, yes, i think it is a little rude.
especially soooooooo early.
most brides with your wedding date would mail them 8/26 with a response date of 9/26.
so in the scheme of things, since today is only 8/19, most brides would not have even put their invites in the mail.
you need to relax and focus on other things. the responses will come in due time.

Re: Rude?
My RSVP due date was today and this morning I sent out a gentle reminder email to those whom I hadn't heard from. Good thing I did because one guest, who is coming, said that she sent her card back weeks ago but I never received it.

Re: Rude?
Thanks for your opinions! was not about to ask people now.... my due date isn't till sept 26. I just wanted to know when it would be okay to ask. We have a lot of OOT guests and a lot of our planning is determined by the number of them coming.... We also have been having an issue with our mail! My parents and several friends have sent their responses back but I have yet to receive them, weeks later!!!

Re: Rude?
i definitely wouldn't even think of starting to ask until sept 27th, once your date has passed.
but many people get lots of missing rsvp's the week after ... so, honestly, i would wait until the beginning of october ...

Re: Rude?
I have the urge to ask people as well. My RSVP date is September 8th and there are TONS of people who haven't responded yet (including all 6 co-workers whom I see everyday)!
But you put the RSVP date on there for a reason so don't ask anyone until after your date.
I am so tempted to but I will keep my mouth shut until September 9th.

I think it is a little bit rude to put someone on the spot. The responses will start arriving just give people time.
