Ok so it's officially one month prior to the wedding and there are still people who haven't responded. We have sent emails and left messages but still have not heard anything.
Should I just assume they are not coming? What's wrong with people? Is it that hard to respond?

Re: Rude guests
If in your email and/or phone message you said 'if we do not hear from you we take that as a no' then count them out

Re: Rude guests
That is really terrible. Is it your side or his? I would have the mom's call. Are they family or just friends? Either way it should not be done!!

Re: Rude guests
Sorry you are going through this but yea....people sux!!!!!!!!!!
Unfortunately you may have to deal with this till the very end! We had about 12 guests who RSVPed yes and did not show up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We also had one of DH's coworkers who RSVPed no then a few days before the wedding said 'of course we are coming...my wife made a mistake to RSVP no'.....well PS...after another trip to the calligrapher especially for him and his wife's placecard....day of the wedding they were a no show!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good luck....take it easy...as aggravating as it is try not to let it make you crazy!

Re: Rude guests
I'll never understand what the problem is.
here's how it should work:
Get invitation in mail look on calendar - NOt busy - Okay I'll go send back rsvp AND THEN ACTUALLY SHOW UP
OR
Get invite in mail No effen way am i going Send back rsvp.
Either way, not difficult.

Re: Rude guests
This was by far the most aggravating part of the wedding planning for us. Unfortunately, you may have to call repeatedly and some people still say OH YEA IM COMING and never show I'll never understand it!

Re: Rude guests
If they are not responding I would take it as a no. Depending on your relationship with these guests maybe you can wait it out a few days and then send another email stating being that you havent heard from them you are counting them as a no. Of course you can word it more politely if you arent close then I wouldnt even bother. This happens to almost every bride sorry you have to go through this also.

Re: Rude guests
Yes it is terrible. I had people RSVP yes and not show up. People who RSVP'd with guest and showed up solo without calling and letting me know. And I had guests who never responded yes or no that showed up. Luckily I wasn't affected by any of this on the day of but it certainly would have upset me if I had to deal with rearranging seats.

Re: Rude guests
I swear people can be soooo rude. I had someone respond no (she underlined it, circled, and checked it off on the response card), and then she tells FMIL that she is coming and so is her husband and daughter.
Um, that's not what the response card said.
Anyway, my RSVP date was 8/6, and I am missing over 60 response cards.

Re: Rude guests
I think some people think if they get it to you 3 weeks before the wedding it'll be okay because usually head counts are due 2 weeks before the wedding. As annoying as it is, give people like 4 more days and then start making the calls. Goodluck!!!

Re: Rude guests
Hey Date Twin!
I'm having the same problem.
A lot of people who haven't RSVP'd are in the freaking wedding! I call, and call, and no answer. I want to kill them. I obviously am assuming that they are coming, but are they bringing a guest? No idea. More than 1/2 of the people have not RSVP'd
