I went to a friends wedding last weekend and alot of my friends just sat around and their boyfriends never danced. i am scared this will happen at my wedding. Isn't it rude to sit all night? What do you think?

Re: Rude people at weddings
My FH never dances... he hates it and claims he doesn't know how to. But, he never just stays sitting at the tables. He'll mingle, walk around and all that. But, he just won't dance...

well i dont think its rude not to dance. Some just dont like dancing and never do. I personally love to dance all night but i know not everybody does so its just how they are, cant get mad about it. Some prefer to sit and socialize with others. If it was most of the guests then thats when it can become a problem. As long as a majority of them are dancing it will be fine.

I don't think it's rude either but I would be disspointed. . I figure though I KNOW my closest friends will dance and I am going to so I think that encourages others

Re: Rude people at weddings
I don't consider it rude if people sit all night because my FH won't dance at all. Not because he's being rude, but because he feels REALLY uncomfortable dancing or even being on a dance floor when other people are dancing around him. BUT I would be really upset if most people at my wedding sat the whole time and the dance floor only had a few people on it. But since I know someone who's really uncomfortable getting up and dancing, I really can't hold it against anyone if they don't dance.

Re: Rude people at weddings
I don't think it is rude.... my FH hates to dance and he is usually at the bar or sitting...but he is having a good time. Just because they are not dancing doesn't mean they are not enjoying themselves. Who cares....if people dance they dance...as long as you are enjoying yourself on your day that is all that matters!!!

Re: Rude people at weddings
I think some people are party poopers, but I sometimes worry about no one dancing at the wedding, I say it's their loss, if the music is good, and people want to enjoy themselves, they will, you just concern yourself with enjoying your day!!!

Re: Rude people at weddings
i dont think its rude at all. i love to dance but my FH doesnt. if im at a family event i get up and dance with cousins, friends etc but if im at an event where i dont know anyone else i sit with FH and don't dance. if there are others on the dance floor it really shouldnt matter if there are a few that don't.

well if people dont wanna dance, then that would be fine with me.. but there are def other ways to enjoy yourself... they should walk around.. talk, mingle. whatever. im worried about this too because i just want everyone to have a good time.
