If I want to have the most 110 people show up.. how many should I invite? 120? 125? *scratch head*

To be honest there is no set rule, it depends on so many things.....we invited 229 and we already have 41 no's. We are going to be lucky to get our 150, but we have a lot of OOT people.
I know there was a poll w/ percentages though

i dont think it is possible to have a rule of thumb for this either... maybe make a B list and only start sending those out once you start getting a certain number of nos?

I have heard 20% don't come.....we started out inviting 194...then it went to 200 and now 226 because of all the 'nos' we started recieving....I don't believe there is a rule that applies for everyone...many factors contribute such as weather, distance and time of the year

hmm.. ok.. lots of FH's family are from OOT.. so I guess I can invite a few more just in case..
Chris - Fox Hollow told me that the WGP can comfortably hold up to 120.. did you feel cramped with 135?

the most common rule i've heard is that there is about a 20% decline rate. not a fact, just something brides have discussed and what seems to be the majority.
but like others said, depends on time of year, distance, etc. if you need 110, you can invite 130 and have 110, or you can invite over 200 and have 90, see what i mean??
it gets very frustrating.

Rule of thumb is 15-20% of your guest list will not come.

its soooo hard to tell...we've only gotten like 6 people that said 'no' so far....have a week until the rsvp date.
ETA: I just realized you're having the reception at Fox Hollow!!! We're int he WGP and was hoping for 130 tops. I'll let you know in about a week what our numbers look like!
