maybe its the fact that she premediated her getaway by buiying a bus ticket a week before her disappearance, lied to her job about taking off syaing she had dress problems, went to vegas and gambled, and then had the nerve to call and make up s tory that a Hispanic kisnapped her. Plus, the fact that she didnt call her family for 4 days and had them worried as he!!.. Her fiance was basically put onthe spot and was a suspect until he had to take 2 LIE detecter tests. I'm sorry but it is very difficult for me to have sympathy for this girl.. Especially since she planned this whole disappearing act. But everyone is entitled their opinion.. I'mjust voicing mine!

This is the best post I've seen yet on these boards about the subject. She was wrong in all sorts of aspects, absolutely ... but she is a person too. And if she was on LIW we'd all be supporting her no matter what she did. Someone can be wrong but still be offered support.

Hmmm... i don't know about that. Initially there would have been pages of prayers but its just weird that this girl mapped out everything about her 'escape'. Did she not think how much she was hurting everyone and scaring them? Not to mention the $100,000 it cost to keep the police search going....and the fact that her stupidity took away from other important things in the town. I mean she has problems so I'm trying to be sympathetic but its pretty hard!!

One more thought..

if she were a LIW member she prob would have voiced her doubts and issues to all of us beforehand, and being that everyone on these boards is so awesome with advice and supportive maybe she wouldn't have done it..

I dont know about the above statement.

In any case, I dont see why she is so hated. I think she has serious problems and flipped out under the pressure of planning such a huge wedding. She needs someone to speak to her and help her out.

No woman in her right mind and sure of herself and of the step she was about to make would do such a thing in my opinion.

Yes, she cost the town alot of money, but she has money, her family has money and she should pay it back and do some serious community service and get counseling.

I also suggest counseling for her Fiance.

On another note, today its in the news that she had cold feet because her Fiance believed in abstinance and she just couldnt handle that.
She had serious doubts on how he and her would mesh sexually once married.

I dont hate her and Im not angry the truth is it didnt affect me at all.

I do have pity because she is obviously in need of some therapy.

Um I don't know, Maybe cuz she called in a fake crime.

Um maybe because she had police looking for her all over georgia and the country wasting their time when a real victims out there are in real trouble!

I'm sorry that's inexcusable to me! Everyone is title to think what they want. If you want to sympathize with her go ahead but I think she is a B***H...

I think she needs help. I think she snapped and figured she'd leave and then saw what a mess she had created and made up that story about her kidnapping, which was wrong ofcourse! but again only someone not in their right mind would do something like that.

I am curious to see what finally happens to her but I dont hate her nor do I feel angry when I hear about her or what she pulled.

I got other things to get really angry about, like murderers, child molestors, rapists, etc etc
even tax evaders!!!!

I don't hate her, i just dont have any sympathy for her. She premeditated this whole thing- thats what bothers me. She took the time to plan her departure. I could see if she was so torn by the wedding that she decided to just flee town. thats an impulsive reaction. but to do the advance planning she did, thats inexcusable to me. She does need serious therapy but I do not pity her. This was a nationwide manhunt for her. And then for her to call and LIE to say she was kidnapped.... thats the icing on the cake...

I am tired of her!!! She made a stupid move! As someone who just called off a wedding....thats all you do...you call off a wedding! You don't make up a horrifying story. Ugggghhh! I can't even discuss her anymore!!! I am tired of seeing her.

I bet PEOPLE is next to run a story on her!

This morning she was the front page of the POST but the bombing at the British Consolate was on page 5!!!!!!!!!!!!!

She does have some spooky eyes though. I dont know how he wants to look at them for the rest of his life. I mean imagine waking up to those spooky eyes every morning.

She said a hispanic male and a white blonde female took her.

As Kelly Rippa said it could have been her and her husband Mark. I thought that was funny how she and Mark looked at each other and said they fit the description.

Why she said Hispanic... well I dont have to explain it, its obvious but why she added a blonde to the story who the heck knows.
