wow maybe I should have went. My friend wanted to go, but I didn't see myself running through all the craze. Crowds and shopping frustrate me and make me dizzy

It was as crazy as it looked! At the front of the line was a group / family from SEATTLE that got to NY at 1am!!!!!!!

Totally had a great time! Has anyone else returned?

Hahaha no!! I live in the city so took the subway down and got there at 6am. My mom / sis came in from LI around 630!

ok....i am back from Running of the Brides and I GOT MY DRESS!!! i was there with my sister, my mom, and my friend Michelle (MichelleCarin...also on LIW) ....we got there at about 8:15 (doors openened at 8am)....so we missed all the complete maddness. My mom drove us into tthe city and dropped us off by the door while she found parking....when we got there most of the dresses were off the racks (some weere still up though)....and we were just walking around not really knowing what to do (we didnt want to steal anyones 'already claimed' dresses)....

sooo...then my mom came in to meet us and she got ALL into it! lol....i was sooo surprised. when we found her she already had a pile of dresses waiting for me to try on!

anyway.....it was TONS of fun but a SUPER long day!! I DID get my dress though!!! i am so excited! i had it almost from the very beginning of when we got there and just carried it around with with while i tried on other dresses. i was in LOVE with it the minute i tried it on, but wasnt totally sure. (i was looking for something to match my mom's veilgreat grandmothers) ....this one might, still not sure if it definately will) BUT i KEPT going back to it! it is beautiful! SOOOOO much detail to it.

It's a KENNITH POOL dress origianlly over $5000 (dont know exact price) got it for $700!!! i have some pics on my camera but i cant load them till i get to my apt. (i'm at my parents house now). It's a borderline between Aline and ballroom gown. It's strapless (actully it had spagetti straps but i am getting them removed) and has beautiful bead work on the top. the bottom part has two layers. A lace underlay with a thin layer of toule (or that type) of fabric on top. (but not too poofy). all around the bottom (floor) of the dress and at the end of the train there is more elegant beadwork! i am so in love with the dress i can't wait to show you pics! (although my pics dont show all the detail).....

also....it was very nice to see Jess and Rachelle there today! Jess you had so many pretty dresses today! i'm surprised you didnt find one! (it's really tough making the decision though so it's also good to wait). and Rachelle that's great that you got a dress today too!!! can't wait to see it! I didn't see anyone else today (didnt recognize) but it's great to see that a few LIW girls were out there in the madness (which really was not TOO mad in my opinion)....

I was prob there the longest LOL....got there around 8:15....left there after 2! lol!!!!!
