What do you think of Russos on the Bay? I live right near there and I have been to a lot of events. However, they put on an excellent wedding. So I am up in the air. Let me know your opinions. Thanks!!!

Russos is great. the food is awesome and i've been to several events and never am disappointed. if i didn't ultimately decide to get married in LI, they would have been on the top of my list. A bunch of girls on here are getting married there.

Re: Russos on the Bay
only heard great things about Russos, and always raves about their food.
Before we got engaged FH said we're getting married at russo's, but the only reason we didn't is bc we know quite a few ppl who have and will get married there, its kind of like most ppl we know get married there so only reason why.

One wedding at a time in Dec 2008, that decorates for the holidays. Also I do not want it to put us in the poor house.

Does Russos do one wedd at a time??? Not sure, hopefully someone answers to that. Well I know that most and/or all RH's decorate for the holidays. You are looking for a Dec wedd so that is off peak and you will get a great price. Do you want a sat, sun, fri, evening or afternoon wedd? Have you looked into the Inn at NHP? Beautiful!!! At first I wanted a one wedd at a time but after I saw Westbury Manor, I didnt care anymore, its not one wedd but its . Look in my album for pics. Fox Hollow has a WInter Pavillion which is beautiful. Good Luck!!

Lol gee I wonder- It's a elegant fabulous place that imo gives you the 'wow' factor along with the most bang for you buck.
They can have up to three events going on at once but from what I was told they try and only do one wedding at a time.
Also they decorate for the holidays and that saves you money on the CH flowers and there are plenty of decorations in the halls as well.
Feel free to FM me if you want more info, etc. FH and I are getting married there in March..we're doing a Sunday brunch menu which can be found on their website as well.

Re: Russos on the Bay
I've been to about 20 weddings there, baptisms, first communions, sweet 16s etc...........
lots of choices for food, can cater to BIG weddings. lots of different rooms. Not really my style. more than one wedding going on at the same time.
don't really know what your taste is. I don't go for lots of decoration or smoke while dancing or stages or anything like that. they provide all of that and then some. depends on what you like.
you should go there and ask to see a room when they're setting up for a party and see if you like the decor and if it's suitable for your needs/likes.
hope this helps

Re: Russos on the Bay
I attended a wedding there a few months ago and it was fantastic. The food and the service was superb. Alos, i am not sure which room you will beusing but at the one we attended, the bride and the groom had a very nice entrance in which they had a rolling staircase with lights. Very nice but I believe that they are a bit pricey!

Re: Russos on the Bay
the smoke in the room is optional and they pretty much only use it when making your entrance so if you dont want it you dont have to have it. They decorate AMAZING for the holidays take a peak this holiday season and see if you like the style .I guarentee you wone be dissapointed. Their in house decorator does amazing work. They do have more then one wedding at a time but you would never know its going on :) Good Luck and feel free to FM me with anything

Yes that was their larger room - the Rennisance Room (aka Ren room) - FH and I have the Tivoli Room where we will be coming up on an elevator out of the floor.
They also have a smaller room than ours (Florentine) which they don't do weddings in but have other smaller functions in.

The location isn't the greatest for pictures, but the food is amazing. I have been to over 10 weddigs there and have NEVER been disappointed there. My older sister got married there and I had the time of my life. My other sister is getting married there in Sept and I cannot wait. I would have gotten married there but my sister and I decided she would get married there and I would go to villa lombardi's.

Imo I think they have plenty of photo ops... especially if the weather is nice they have a very nice outside garden... also they have the hallway with a nice black grand piano as well.
