Russo's on the bay question anyone

My wedding will be at Russo's in July, after looking at videos from videographer's I don't really like the hall as much and I am so upset that I did not go to LI for more Picture taking halls with a lot of lands. I am also starting to hate the coming out of the wall thing, Should I do it? FH did not really want to at first but I convinced him to do it but now I don't want to do it. I wish I can book another hall. I really hate wedding planning

I think that Russo's is a very nice hall IMO. YOu don't have to do the coming out of the wall thing if you don't want too. You won't regret it.

I got married at Russo's in March.
And although they don't have much flexibility and places to take pictures, everything worked out fine for us.

We couldn't take them outside - because it was too cold - but Russo's does have a beautiful garden in the summertime where you can take pictures. Ive seen those pics from others and they are beautiful. We took pictures by the piano and fireplace and other spots in the reception..
As far as the entrance - we did not do it - but you have that option -
Russos is beautiful, you cant beat their service and people have been raving about our wedding to this day....you will love it!! :)

But way did you book a place that you weren't 100% sure about? Has someone been changing your mind......??
Believe me, you will not be disappointed !

Don't be upset about ANYTHING. I wanted to get married in July initially and we ended up with a March date! So things change but just make the best of it. Russo's is very nice and if you want outside pictures then take them in a nice park or gardens. I'm sure your photographer can help you with that. I do have to agree with not doing the coming out of the wall thing though. Other than that - remember you're getting MARRIED! ENJOY!

Where's your church? How much time do you have between ceremony and reception? Definitely voice your concerns to your photographer and videographer, I'm sure they'll suggest some great places nearby to take pictures at. If your ceremony will be at Russo's and you are OK with seeing your FH beforehand, go to Central Park or Grand Central or anywhere you want and take pictures. Do not stress, you have options girl!

And Russo's is beautiful inside, plus the service IS amazing. You have made a good choice, no one EVER complains about Russo's!

Best wishes!

hi,

Just to let you know, I just went to a wedding at Russos, and it was seriously one A GREAT WEDDING. It was just great food and service and really a good, fun time.

You don't have to do the thing where you come out of the wall or floor.

anyway, I'm not getting married there, so I'm not biased It's a great place!

Don't feel so bad...i think we all second guess our decisions. I felt the same way about Russo's after we booked but I realized the outside is not so important to me. The guests only see that for a few minutes and are inside for hours. I have heard from soooooo many people the food is 1st class and so is the service. That's what is important to me. I am in the Tivoli room with the elevator...didn't want to do it at first but FH wants to so I am. But you seriously don't have to use the stairs...it's ur choice. Obviously I am biased but IMO i think we both won't regret our decision. BTW...I am prob going to OWG to take pictures before CH.

I totally understand. We ended booking because of the food and service. We're getting married in the winter, so the outside was not an important factor for us.

We are having our reception in the Tivoli room- the room with the elevator that comes through the floor. We are not coming up from the elevator. That was the trade off. I agreed to have our reception there as long as we come through the doors- not the elevator.

I don't think you can go wrong at Russo's. Everything is grade A.
