Ryan's 10 month minus 1 day checkup!!
I just need to start out saying that I cannot believe my baby is 10 months old tomorrow. DH and I were just saying last night how we remember walking into the house with him from the hospital, putting the carseat down on our bed and looking at each other and thinking - Now What??
Well, 10 months later, he is doing great. He's a whopping 24 pounds 12 ounces and 28 1/2 inches long. Everything is great. He is not sick, just going through 'something' right now. Doc thinks some molars are starting to come in since his back gums looked swollen. He's already got 6 teeth and #'s 7 and 8 are peeking through.
Dr. told me that whatever I am doing, I should keep doing it, because he is doing great. That made me feel a whole lot better than I've been feeling lately.
I can try any foods I like with him (except the stuff he is allergic to obviously as well as avoiding berries, peanut butter, honey, and fish)...and no sugary junk either!!
He also told me that I am so lucky to have a child that is sleeping from 7 pm to 7 am AND napping between 2 and 4 hours a day -- I agree with that assessment!!! Ryan did NOT enjoy his 2 shots and cried harder than I've ever seen him yet...my poor baby - I don't know if I'll ever get used to that!!
So, sigh of relief, all is well over here and Mommy is feeling much better about her parenting skills today -- I'm sure that'll last just until the next mini-crisis...now to figure out what to feed this child!!
Thanks ladies for all of your support and great advice these last 10 months - it is MUCH appreciated!!
