Ryan's 6 month checkup...and a question for BTDT Moms...

...was a success! Although I still cry every time he gets his shots ...He now weighs 19 lbs. 10 oz. and is 25 1/2 inches long! He already has his two bottom teeth and the top two are working their way in (still torture for all of us)...but he is doing great! Mommy can't believe he is already 6 months old!!

Here's my question...we're now starting to eat vegetables at lunchtime. Ryan's a champ with cereal and fruit - eats a ton at breakfast and dinner. But how did you get your baby to eat the veggies that aren't 'sweet'? We tried peas today and boy he didn't like that taste!! What a funny face we got!! I know some veggies are tough because babies are so used to sweet tastes, but I'm wondering how everyone got their little one to get them down??

As you know, I have no clue about how to get Ryan to like veggies, but I just wanted to say YAY!!!! Sounds like he's doing great!!! 2 teeth already... woohoooooooo!!!

Almost time for you to move up to the convertible car seat, too!!

Lee - mix some sweet fruit into those veggies! That's how you get them to eat it!

Sean starts cereal on Monday, I can't believe how excited I am!! I planned his 'menu' so that he'll be able to have applesauce on Thanksgiving!! Ahhh, yes, it's the little things.

Kathi - I did the same thing for Paul last year...I 'planned' his menu so that he'd get to try Turkey for the first time on Thanksgiving. The things we Mommies do!

Kathi, I'm the same way!! I'm trying to plan veggies so he has either sweet potatoes or squash for Thanksgiving!!
