Sacrifice made for sick FH

I had a chance to go to a concert in Upstate NY this weekend, it was guaranteed with backstage passes to meet with my idol. She is an amazing singer and it would have been such a great night. Since my FH just had shoulder surgery on Tuesday I could not go!!!
I made the right choice by him, but I am so sad about it! It would have been a once in a lifetime event. The girl I was planning to go with e-mailed me today to let me know about the great events of last night. Not that I am not happy for her...but I am sad!
Oh well...I guess this goes along with getting ready to make sacrifices in marriage! He really needed me, so I did make the 'right' choice. If it is meant to be, I will get this opportunity again.

Yep. 'Through sickness and in health' You made the right choice You may never have another oppurtunity like this but I am sure you made FH super happy that you decided to stay with him.

awhhh maybe you'll be rewarded in the future for your sacrifice with another chance to meet this person! Who knows?! But regardless, you did the right thing for your FH. Marriage is definitely all about making sacrifices. You probably would have wanted him to do the same for you, right?

I would definitely want him to do the same. He is almost incapacitated, overrun with pain. Last year when I had surgery he never left my side. It was only the right thing to do...but I am still sad about missing this. I will get over it... and you're right...marriage is all about making a sacrifice!
