So, most of you know my bm dilema. I have a BM, one of my bestest friends who i have not seen since LAST JUNE. When we went to order the dresses..she didnt show...so i had to take her back..no biggie. but then (which she KNEW) my cousins shop was closing in december and we had to pick up and pay for the dresses. she doesnt show. we call her and email her a million times. she never returns my calls or anything. so i had to go pick up her dress and pay for it. My sis (MOH) fuming now gets a hold of her mom and says she is OUT if she doesnt get this dress and start returning calls. so she calls me back crying (AFTER I TOOK CARE OF IT ALL) and says how stressed work is and all...COME ON...you think IM not stressed?? i work twice as much as her AND trying to plan a wedding....which she doesnt even ask about. and of course i cave in and listen to her and say its OK....so i try calling her several times after and again wont return my call.. now this was JUNE when i last saw her and JANUARY when she last called me back.....and i LITERALLY call EVERY week to try to keep some sort of contact. well her b-day comes around in april. i mailed her a card, called her cell and home a BUNCH of times and emailed her. she calls me the next day and again goes on and on about how stressed she is when i ask about why she cant just pick up a phone and call me back.. again, doest even ask ONCE how i am, wedding plans, work, rob.... so we set up a date for a few days later for me to take her out for her b-day...and then she was leaving for florida...well..she deosnt show up...call me, or answer her phone. i have called like 4 or 5 times since april to see how her trip was....wont call back.. now MY BIRTHDAY was yesterday....do i get a card..NO a call..NO an EMAIL.NO...NOTHING!
i always give in to people and cave..but this time is enough...i mean im right for wanting her out right??
FH says just dont call her so theres no confrontation since she obviously cant pick up the phone and call me......
what do you guys think i should do?
i have my sisters best friend who will fill in in a heart beat but shes a size 4 and this dress is a 14

Re: Opinions please..
First, Happy Belated Birthday Nicole!!! Secondly, you've done everything you could to get in touch with this 'Friend'. What's next? Go to her house and drag her out and make her talk to you?? She's obviously not the friend she portrayed herself to be and not the person you thought she was. IMO, you've gone the distance for this friend and probably don't want a person like this in your wedding anyhow. This is a very special day for you and Rob and no one who is willing to ignore your friendship should be a part of it!!! Maybe you can have the dress altered for your sister's best friend. It sounds like she'd be a better bridesmaid than your 'friend' anyway!!!! Good Luck Sweetie!!!

Re: SAD BRIDE
Hey DT… ugly situation!!
In my honest opinion, I think you should pull her from your BP. It’s not your fault. You’ve done everything in your power to be accommodating. The bottom line always is: when there’s a will, there’s a way.
I may have to do the same thing in a about a week, with my sister!
Good luck!

I say replace her! She obviously doesn't want to be involved with your wedding. Give that opportunity to someone that will appreciate it!

Yup. My sister is a dead beat. She’s been acting exactly like your “friend”. We’re going to order dresses this Sunday. If she’s not there, she’s out.
Don’t worry about the deposit money right now. But I bet she’ll bring it up!

Re: SAD BRIDE
I say do not call her anymore - replace her because you have to - she left you with little options - so replace her and don't call her - if this friend doesn't call you and the wedding comes - then to be honest she is not a friend - if I were you I would be interested in knowing if my wedding will come and go without a call from her.

she can't guilt you - you have to be strong - SHE is wrong in this situation and she knows you and knows that if she calls you with her problems that you will cave - and therefore she is taking advantage of your kindness -
be strong if she calls about how terrible her life has been - all you have to say is - I realized how difficult it was for you to be a part of my wedding with all of your problems and to make it easier for both of us, especially for you - I just eliminated another problem for you - you don't have to worry about it anymore - and I don't have to harrass you about it anymore either.

Re: SAD BRIDE
I can't believe how much you've put up with from her! You are a saint.
I say BOOT HER from your BP and when she asks about her deposit just tell her that you have decided to keep it to make up for the 'pain and neglect which has been inflicted upon you by her inconsiderate and selfish abandonment of your friendship'
