Sad Face

I just left FH at the airport this morning, I think it was even harder to do then the first time. He had to catch a plane to go to his training, we were on opposite ends of the airport and our flights left 10 minutes apart. I kissed him goodbye in front of a starbucks and then was around hundreds of people while traveling for the rest of the day. I needed to be alone so badly for just 5 minutes and just cry.

I don't know what was harder, saying goodbye to him or trying to hold back my tears so I could be strong for him...

I won't see him again until the last week in March (hopefully), I know I'm not the only one of us living far away away from FH but all I could think about all day was how much I love my job, and I'm really good at it, but I don't know if i can keep doing this for years to come...

Ughhh life is hard sometimes!

What do you guys do that makes you be apart for so long? That really stinks and i'm sorry

@ Bella... I'm in the Air Force, and originally I was supposed to be sent on a normal 6 month deployment, which would suck but we were prepared for. Instead, I got sent on a year long remote tour to Greenland, and I was just able to get home for a week by chance bc i was being sent to the states for some training. So my actual mid-tour break is at the end of March so I can make my friends wedding, normally it would have been a little bit earlier.

I love my job to death, and I love traveling. I don't mind deploying but the leaving him for such a long time is sooo hard.

@ SJR... thanks girl(s) I appreciate it! Most of the time I'm ok, I just get moody and sad occasionally, but just leaving him this morning makes me feel like I'm lying underneath a ton of bricks...

I'm so sorry! I would be so upset too! I can't even imagine how hard that must be.

That must be terrible! My FH and I were apart when I went away to school, but we constantly drove wherever to see each other. I couldn't imagine only seeing each other a small amount of the time.

.... What are the plans once you get married? Will you still be apart so often?

Oh No, so sorry to hear this...it does sound awful!!! I don't blame you for wanting to be alone at that point...the airport must be last LAST place you would have wanted to be! At least you have all of us!!! Let us know if you need anything...more virtual hugs???
