Sad news....

Yesterday my grandfather was put on life support after having a heart attack while doctors were trying to stop a bleed in his brain... today they are going to take him off since he is unable to breathe on his own and there is nothing they can do for him... He was such a good man and I am going to miss him. I have so many good memories from my childhood with him. At the age of 30, this is the first family member I have lost and I knew it would be difficult but had no idea how much... The funeral will be this week some time so I won't be on much but I didn't want you all to think I forgot about the gift exchange... the names might just be a little late coming...

Its EXTREMLY hard to loose any close family member and I know losing a grandparent is very hard. I lost my grandfather at 14 and it was so hard.

I am so so sorry for your loss and what you are all going through! As hard as it may be, try to celebrate his life as much as you can. You are so lucky to have spent so much of your life with him (and your other grandparents) around.

I lost my grandmother at 92 in February (my third grandparent who has passed), just a few months before our wedding and there are days still that I breakdown and cry missing her. Grieving never gets easy, but the love and support of your family will help you cope.
