Sad news for all us Dirty Dancin & Ghost fans...

Patrick Swayze was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in Jan and they are saying he may only have 5 weeks left How upsetting! Just when you think you're life is so bad at certain times, someone else is worse off... Makes you really think about life

that's really sad. i was in love w/ him as a little girl. he supposed to be a really nice guy--down-to earth and friendly--in his real life.

his rep just released this statement which is more optimistic than the news has been reporting.....

'Actor Patrick Swayze has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and is currently undergoing treatment,' his rep said in a statement. 'Patrick's physician Dr. George Fisher states, 'Patrick has a very limited amount of disease and he appears to be responding well to treatment thus far. All of the reports stating the timeframe of his prognosis and his physical side effects are absolutely untrue. We are considerably more optimistic.' Patrick is continuing his normal schedule during this time, which includes working on upcoming projects. The outpouring of support and concern he has already received from the public is deeply appreciated by Patrick and his family.'

my dad has prostate cancer and they only gave him a few weeks.. that was june 8th of last year.
hes still fighting.

as long as he doesnt give up hope he'll hopefully get a few more months

i hope swayze doesnt give up
