so our company is doing layoffs...we started notifying employees today and its so sad to see these people coming in and being told they are losing their jobs...some of them just lose it. theres just an aura of sadness here today

Its the worst! Esp when its people that have been there a long time...

i know some people have been hysterical

its so scary whats going on now and the uncertainty of the future.

I kept my cool in the office when i was laid off...but as soon as i made it downstairs to the stockroom...I was hysterical crying and couldn't even breathe just whispering 'holy ****, what am i gonna do?' it's such an awful feeling.

I know what you mean, its a terrible feeling to see people you work with go. I used to work in Human Resources at my last job which was in financial services. So i knew when a layoff was coming, was processing their last payroll, before they even knew it was coming it stunk..

I feel your pain. My job did this in November. They let sooo many hardworking, good people go. Two of them, are getting married in May. One of them left in tears not knowing what she was going to do about her wedding. I cried with her.

My office has had such negative energy ever since. They didn't even decorate for the hoilidays.
