I just want to say I envy you so much. After going to Sorrento, Italy this past November, FI and I both said how much we would love to get married in Italy! Unfortunately my grandmother is 85 and I don't think she could make the 7 hour plane ride.


How did you find the place in Italy(didn't you say its a 14th century villa?) and how are you able to get so many people there. Maybe you ideas could change things for us. Thanks::

I have a wedding coordinator in Italy so that is how we found our place...
FH is from Italy and still has alot of family there...
We decided on Fiesole b/c it is only 10 miles north of Florence so it is convenient to a big city. It is also close to the town where his family is from and we fell in love with the villa.....

I can not wait....we took forever to decide because we kept going back and forth deciding if it was more important to have a local wedding so everyone would be there or to have 'our dream wedding' and have the people who could come, come.
In the end we decided to fulfill our dreams.....not anyone elses....

You are really one lucky girl! The place is absolutely gorgeous. Instead I am here trying pulling my hair out (today is my last day to get my deposit back) between Russso's on the Bay and Oheka. All this $$$ and I still won't have as gorgeous an event as yours!

Thanks - but the issue is teh food at Ohek. Your Italian and you know how Italians like certain foods. Oheka is diiferent - like Manhattan style. And I don't know if they will like it, be impressed as at Russo's or whetehr there will be enough!
