Congratulations!! How do you know when a dress is 'the one'? I haven't tried on too many dresses but I found one I really love... I guess I'll know if no other dresses compare? Did you cry? How do you know ?? LOL

ChristineC. you just know.

I had tried about 10 dresses at one place a week before and had narrowed it to 4 but they didn't feel right. A couple looked good, but would need modification as I won't do strapless. I wasn't sold on any of them, I felt like I was settling if I chose one of them.

I went to David's Bridal and found 'the one' cheaper than the others were the previous week, not strapless (can't say more about how it looks FH on website too, helping out w/ wedding stuff)

I'm not one to cry over things like this, I'm kind of a tom-boy, and was concerned that the dress that looked best on me might not be the one because I wasn't overly emotional about it. However my girls pointed out that it was the one I had the biggest smile with when I can out of the room with the dress for the first time and saw my reflection in the mirror across from me. It looks amazing on me, but it was hard to see what the final look would be because my hair and makeup weren't done, they did not have my size, I wasn't wearing the jewelry, etc. so I just went with the fact that it looked great on me and I was happy in it. this is saying a lot because on a normal day, I don't like dresses on me. They make me uncomfortable and restricted because you have to move and act differently in dresses than you do in slacks or jeans.

You found one you love, but still aren't sure? It might be your 'one', or is it that you are concerned that you didn't have the 'Say Yes to the Dress' happy cry? That you didn't hear yourself say 'this is it this is 'the one''? You will know when you find it if you love this one and aren't sure then it may not be your dress if you feel you still have to compare.

Never give up on finding your 'one' and enjoy the process. Good luck.

I got my dress at Fantasia Bridal in rocky point. I kept trying on dress because I had not gotten the feeling that anyone was my dress. I went from wanting a big dress to a lace dress and back and forth. I kept trying on dresses that I loved but they were not perfect for my body style. Finally I tried on ones that were good for my body and this dress made me feel sexy and elegant at the same time only problem was my best friend is getting married and she had narrowed her search down to the dress I wanted and another dress. The other dress which she ended up picking was my first dress I ever tried on lol. My sister hated it so I never looked at it again until my BFF bought it. Anyway I don't cry for dresses I am an indecisive person but I couldn't stop smiling and I felt amazing a million dresses later. I thought I would never find my dress but I did ;)

I added a pic of my dress in my albums if you would like to take a look and I also decided I will be wearing a cathedral veil with crystals around the edges.
