Even though a year away I just kept coming back to the same dress. The question is to sash or not to sash. It's lace with tulle on the bottom. Here is the sash. Or do I leave the dress plain . Here is my body with the sash and the negative zero model with no sash.
2014 Crashing! I bought my dress about a year out too! Congrats on funding 'the one' its beautiful! I personally like it with the sash. It adds a little extra flair and makes it your own. It also gives you a very nice waistline!

Congrats on saying yes! I was similar- just kept going back to that one dress!!! I like the sash! It just gives it a little something special. Also, I LOVE the tulle at the neckline- so different/pretty!

I wish that they wouldn't sew it in in case I chsnge my mind. Wonder when I alter it if I can decide after. They told me I'm a size 4 bust size 6 middle and size 8 hips lol which means a lot of alterations lol I'm still undecided on the sash. Guess I have a lot of time. Thank you ladies for the compliment :)

I'm sure you can decide at a later date about the sash! What size did you end up ordering? 6? My bust/hips were a 2 and waist was a 4/6. The consultant suggested ordering the 2 so I am hoping it isn't too tight in the waist area! I just hope it fits in the bust, that's my main concern. I wouldn't get a strapless because I didn't want the dress to be sagging down all night even after alterations (already had those issues at prom! LOL). It's tough having nothing to hold up a strapless!

She ordered me the 8 because otherwise it would be to tight on the hips. Although I wonder if I should have got the 6 because I'm so unevenly proportioned.

Another quick question is it normal they measure you with the dress on? Now I'm wondering and doubting the sizing of course lol. I do know I have big hips though

Not sure- I had already taken off the dress and put my clothes back on before I decided to have her measure me so I could call in and order my dress...so she measured me with my shirt and jeans on, I was surprised about that. So I guess it's ok!

You should have saw be all last night with a tape measurer on my hips . How can I go from a size 2/4 to an 8 in one day lol. I know the rest will need to be altered but I guess better then to small. I tried a Vera wang in a 6 and I couldn't zip it at all.

Beautiful! I love it! When I went for my dress I wanted to cry when they told me the size I should order. I am a size 2/4 and they told me I measured to a 10. It scares me with how my dress is made. I am not big busted, and with the bigger size the bust area is larger (sweetheart style). It makes me nervous for alterations.
Ahh I want to put my dress back on :)

so thank you for all of the opinions. I decided to either go with no sash or a simpler one. I saw on the review of my dress a girl was wearing a simple flower one and I loved it....I know all my NY friends want me to get bling sash lol...but maybe im a country girl at heart or something....
