I took it off my registry thinking it was a waste of money, but I hear they work really well.

Re: Salad Spinner
My mom wanted one for Christmas and I think my Dad got it for her. I will let you know if she gets it Jenn and how she likes it!
I thought it would be a waste too though....

Re: Salad Spinner
I have one!! It was one of the first things I bought with a BBB gift card we got for our e-party!!! I LOVE it!! It's great because it makes washing salad ingredients so much easier with it's built in strainer type basket and then you get all the water out!
I have the XOXO (Good Grips I think) one.
ETA: Plus it's fun to use!

Re: Salad Spinner
My FH calls it an amusement park for lettuce! Seriously though, it really dries the lettuce so you don't have soggy salad!

Re: Salad Spinner
the good grips one is a little expensive, but you can get basically the same thing (don't know who makes it) from target or kmart for about $4.99. that's what i have and it works great. i couldn't justify spending $20 to spin my salad

Re: Salad Spinner
I have the crank one but long for the one with the push button top...lol
I think it's worth it - I really do not like wet salad stuff.

Re: Salad Spinner
I bought one over the summer because I was eating a lot of salad and I find it helpful because it does dry the lettuce. I got my at Crate and Barrel. My DH loves spinning the salad! That is his contribution in the kitchen.
