Salon for hair & makeup near Farmingdale/Huntington?

Does anyone know of any salons around the Farmingdale/Melville/Huntington area that do good hair and makeup for FMIL? We are getting ready at the Courtyard Marriott on 110 so if anyone knows someplace good close to there that would be really helpful.

I'm totally not familiar with the area, and she is coming in from OOT so she's gonna have a car rented but i really do not want to send her too far or make it too complicated for her to get to (10 mins tops).

there are a couple of salons in huntington that are nice...but too far away.

oh wait, there are two in Amityville...are you staying at the hotel by the Walmart?? If you are, check out omg im blanking....when i drive by on my lunch break ill get the names...thats only like 7 minutes away if it is the hotel im thinking about

Years ago when I lived on LI I got my hair done at Anthony DiFranco in Huntington (its on Jericho) and loved it. I remember it being a really great place.
My mom used to go to Cactus in Dix Hills also.

alure salon (corner of 110 and merrick rd) and self image salon (??? again im completely blanking and i even drove past it for you...sorry)

there are a few on main st. in farmingdale that may also do nice hair but i have no personal experience with any of them

I second both of these places. I went to Cactus for years, and my mom still does. My sister goes to Anthony DiFranco. Both are good salons and are on Jericho, prob around 15 mins or so from the hotel she will be at.
